I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who submitted a story to Negative Space. Overall, this second submission period was much shorter than the first one (only 15 days), but we still received eighty stories total, which is very close to the same amount we received during the initial three-month submission period! Although we read many outstanding stories, we could only accept four. Those new authors are: Maggie Slater, JC Martinez, Amelia Gorman, and PL McMillan! You can check out their bios on the DPP website here: www.darkpeninsulapress.com/our-authors
Here is the final TOC (in no particular order): “It’s Inside” by SR Miller “Curiosity’s Child” by Jude Reid “The Artist and the Muse” by Jay Wilburn “Rhapsody in Flesh Minor” by Maggie Slater “Sacs” by JC Martínez “The Collectors” by Michelle Tang “Luminescence” by Scotty Milder “Puzzled Pieces, Lock-in Places” by Amelia Gorman “Midnight, off Arkansas River Trail” by Eric J. Guignard “The Whale Hunts” by PL McMillan “Black Tongue” by Richard Beauchamp “Six Weeks” by MJ Mars On a final note, as of this weekend, all responses for the second round of submissions have been sent out. If you submitted a story and haven't heard back, please contact me through the CONTACT section on the website. Email would be fine as well. And thanks for all the great stories! Sincerely, Aric Sundquist Editor-in-chief, DPP

Submissions are now officially closed (again) for Negative Space: An Anthology of Survival Horror!2/1/2020 The second round of submissions is now officially closed for Negative Space: An Anthology of Survival Horror, and we received some outstanding submissions. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who took the time to write and/or submit a story for review. Although the submission window was relatively short this time around, we still received a whole slew of wonderful stories. We can't wait to read through the slush pile and start adding to our expanding TOC!
As far as a time frame goes, we'll be reading stories over the next two weeks, then making our final selections shortly thereafter. We'll be in touch soon. Sincerely, Aric Sundquist Editor-in-chief, DPP |
