Jennifer L. Collins has a river dolphin tattooed on her foot and a large corn snake tattooed on her back. She suspects that, had she known they existed, she might have grown up to be an environmental terrorist—she’s both thankful and a little horrified that that never happened, but the sentiment comes across in her stories. Much of her speculative fiction deals with themes related to memory, trauma, and/or environmental concerns, whereas her poetry is more often concerned with social justice. Her first chapbook of poetry, Oil Slick Dreams, was published in 2016, and she's currently seeking representation for a science fiction novel. She's also the Vice President of the HOWL Society, and now lives in Cape Coral, Florida with her husband and their six rescues—four very needy cats, and two oversized mutts who think they're lapcats.
